the manager is very disrespectful, I was in the store today and a argument occurred with his employee and I heard him being very disrespectful and screaming at the employee. It was honestly hard to hear, I can’t imagine how the employee feels after getting screamed at like that. Please hire people who are actually respectful with everyone and not just the people they choose to be respectful with. If i could leave a 0, I would.

I had such a great experience at Ren’s Pets! Jess went above and beyond to help me out — I was picking up my puppy that day and had never owned a dog before, so I had a ton of questions. She took the time to walk me through everything, shared really helpful tips and tricks, and made me feel so much more calm and confident by the time I left. I also appreciated that she never made me feel pressured to buy anything (even though I ended up leaving with a bunch of helpful things anyway!). You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and helping people. Thanks, Jess — you made my first day as a puppy parent so much easier!

Very unpleasant experience in store. They are refusing to accept the $20 voucher since April 1st 2025. The voucher we receive for registering our pets with the town. The voucher was accepted before they made the policy change. Now they want you to spend $50 for purchases then they will honour the $20 voucher. Pure greed by Ren’s Pets. Will never shop at Ren’s Pets.

I’ve always had an amazing experience at Ren’s I drive far to buy good produce and quality food for my animals. Newmarket Ren’s has the best products and nicest employees I’ve ever met. Until I met Jessica today. I’ve never been spoken to with such disrespect and talked down to. I’ve also never been PERSONALLY CHALLENGED by an employee and FOLLOWED to the door. Employees talking behind my back. And looking out the windows at me as I leave with my puppy. Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Jessica should not be working with anyone of the public. And should have new training on how to work with the public and ways to be professional and respectful when talking with others. I will never be returning again due to Jessica or “Jess” disrespect. Please consider who you hire and how they speak to your customers. I’ve never been spoken with his belittlement immediately as I met her. Not even able to help with what we asked. Just immediate judgement. 0/5 stars. Received number for management. Although will call head office instead as clearly much help is needed in terms of training staff. Extremely disappointing as I love Rens and we live in a judgement free society. Sad Ren’s doesn’t hire people who are judgement free to their customers. I would highly consider Jessica not working front end with customers due to disrespect, belittlement, unprofessional behaviour, talking back to customers, challenging customers, and creating an environment that makes all people and animals uncomfortable

The gentlemen at the cashier with glasses on need to learn how to support their customers instead of repeating saying NO NO NO to everything. The worse ren’s pet I have ever been to….

We absolutely loved the level of customer service that we got at this location. It was our first time here and Lauren went above and beyond to help us with an issue that we were having with a gift card. From now on we will only shop here for everything we need for our puppy!

Alyssa and Ryan were so amazing and so helpful. They went above and beyond, even getting on the ground to assist me putting on a harness, and continuing to welcome every customer into the store as they came in. Amazing customer service!! They had great recommendations too!
