I had high expectation but quite disappointed! We used to be a regular at their Mountain View location in California but here the coffee was quite cold and more importantly the wifi does not work. I chose to come here as opposed to Starbucks in the other side of the plaza but learned soon after I bought coffee and pastry that they do not have wifi and it is down. I will hotspot this time but will stick to Second Cup, or Starbucks that are more reliable for studying.
I would describe Paris Baguette as a higher end chain, but still a chain nonetheless. The croissant was decent - not super buttery or flakey. I would skip the latte if you could though. It comes from a super automatic machine, and has airy foam instead of creamy microfoam.
If you come on a Sunday with your family after church most bakeries have bread and buns fresh and available. There is nothing here but overpriced breakfast pastries. Bring back Master Baker in Newmarket
Not only does this place have really yummy pastries, their staff was incredibly helpful when I lost a credit card there a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure if I had dropped it outside in the parking lot or in the store, but it was found and turned in by a customer in the store. The Paris Baguette staff gave that customer a discount on her purchase, and promptly called me to say the card had been found. Great people !
It’s a quaint spacious cafe with European flair. What’s missing, and stands out to me as a European and who’s been to Paris, is the way the pastries are served - everything is plastic and they don’t do plates but napkins. When you walk in to a Parisian cafe you expect beauty in the details. At this bakery you get a general atmosphere but then it’s lost on the small things. The pastries are yummy. I had the pain au chocolat, the croissants, the sugar donut key looking things, the almond croissants and the mini croissants with strawberries and custard. I would suggest coming in the morning when items are fresh and there’s more selection. It is also less busy but then picks up a bit around lunch. I would ask for some pastries like the almond croissant to be warmed up - like someone said it’s not the best - just okay. I enjoy my cappuccinos and the wifi and like to take the croissants to go. It’s an overall cute place and a friendly atmosphere. Does it live up to its name - absolutely not ;) the devil is in the details!
We come to this cafe often as my daughter loves their doughnuts, but today Fatemah went above and beyond for us. My little girl dropped a toy behind their fridge and she went to great lengths to retrieve it for us. This was not an easy task at all but we so appreciated her kindness and exceptional customer service is what keeps customers coming back. Thank you so much!!
I visited a couple days ago and was amazed by the selection of freshly baked and unique items and a large assortment of sandwiches and cakes. The style of the restaurant is a hybrid where you help yourself and the Staff assist with behind the counter items and prepare coffee. As the assortment and choice is very large, my brother and I asked Fatemeh for assistance in making our selections. Fatemeh was amazing to the point that we felt like guests in her home where she wanted us only to have the very best of everything. I was an amazed at the way I which she gave us a detailed description of each item as asked our preferences. It is because of Fatemeh, that I will return and strongly recommend this restaurant. The type of dedication and customer service Fatemeh gave us, (even guiding us to our seats) is something I have not seen in many years. Gatemen has broken out of the COVID curse and is no longer afraid to talk to people and enjoy interacting with customers. Thank you!
