The staff are very friendly & they keep everything in the prep/cook area clean & organized. They offer different options of breads for their sandwiches (my favourite is the sourdough). All their ingredients are fresh & delicious. 10/10

If you want real French croissants, go there. Since I moved from France to Canada, I struggle finding croissants tasting like home but these are my go-to.
Went in there this afternoon to buy bread so chose a vegan loaf. I asked the woman behind the counter if the bagels were also vegan, as they had no label. She had no idea and said “wait a minute” and went back to the kitchen. I waited 5 minutes with a loaf of bread in my hands. In this time, two other people came to the counter. When she finally came out of the back, she glanced at me, said nothing, and served the other two people. After several additional minutes of waiting all the while watching her ignore that I was waiting for a response after being told by her to wait, I put down the bread, let her know that she should have followed through with serving me before others who came after me, and left. Terribly rude and unprofessional.
It's my first time visiting the Canadian town of Newmarket. I'm not too familiar with it or Canada. Skye not only served me with the best bagel I had ever tasted, but she also greeted me warmly and kindly told me all about the town and surrounding area. She was a great help!
Very good quality bread. So much better than Cobs in my humble opinion. And Balzac Coffee is definitely better than Starbucks. Nice pastries , bagels, and sandwiches. And the bonus if you get up early and everything is closed still - but they are open !
