My boyfriend and I come by every weekend and are always amazed at how wonderful Nutmeg is! From the bread to the cookies, scones, and danishes — everything is absolutely to die for. But the best part of our visits is the cashier! She’s always so welcoming and kind, and we leave every time laughing and smiling. We always tell each other we need to leave a review just for her — so here it is! Come for the pastries, stay for the lovely service.
A cute little bakery on Main St. New Market. We went after lunch in the afternoon so most of their pastries were sold out already, so I grabbed a chocolate chip maple dip. Very decadent and pairs well with a black coffee. Next time I’m in the neighbourhood I’ll be back to try some other items.
Dangerously delicious and full of temptation — this bakery is our go to heaven. The cheddar jalapeño sourdough? Life-changing. If a bread could win awards, this one deserves a trophy and a standing ovation. So DELICIOUS. As for the cinnamon cruffin pull-apart… let’s just say my kids turn into wild animals when it hits the table (including myself). It’s their all-time favorite dessert. If you’re looking for something delicious for an everyday bite or special occasion, you’ve found the spot.
I placed an order for same day pastries on a Thursday and unfortunately there was a mix up and my order was not ready when I arrived. The owner was so apologetic she gave me a dozen complimentary cookies (which were absolutely delicious). She had my order ready before opening the following day and threw in another box of complimentary pastries. She was so kind and rectified the situation immediately + more! My party raved about the pastries all day long! 10/10
i haven't lived in the area for a few years, but i still order my birthday cake here every year and clean up as many mini egg goodies as i can every spring! the mini egg brioche has my heart, please never stop making that
I have tried the caramelized craffin today, it was very delicious, with a fragrance of expencive butter. May be you can make this kind of cruffin with nutella( my daughter's suggestions).
Nutmeg is my favorite place to pick up cookies, egg bread, almond croissants, and cheese tea biscuits. The cashier is very helpful and polite to all the people who have been experiencing my needs, like myself, senior. God bless nutmeg to Megan.
