My kids were just in here earlier today and it was awesome! So many exciting fast slides and sanya was so gentle and kind Will be visiting again soon
I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Toys "R" Us in Newmarket. On December 14, 2024, I purchased a gift for my nephew, only to find out that the store doesn't offer gift receipts, which was surprising to me as most retailers do. Unfortunately, my nephew already had the same gift, so my sister went to the Newmarket location on January 1, 2025, to exchange it for something else of equal or greater value. When we arrived, we were told by the manager, Theresa, that she could not look up the receipt in the system, and that we needed to leave our contact information for her to get back to us later. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since we had driven all the way from Wasaga Beach, expecting to resolve this simple issue. Theresa was unwilling to assist us further at that time and offered no immediate solution. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and the inability to provide a basic gift receipt or assistance with a return or exchange. I would highly recommend reconsidering where you shop, as this experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
Store is big but not much stock. I was closr picking up an online Lego order in store yesterday that i’d ordered just a few hours prior to the store opening. But when i phoned customer service, they said they cancelled my order due to the toy not being in stock. Yet online, it stated it was in stock both online & at their store. She told me there was apparently adiscrepancy with the flyer that was emailed to me as i subscribe yo the email flyer. Extremely dissappoited that they’re excusing corporate.
Very pure customer service, most part of it due to lack of staff on the floor. So if you are looking for a product, Goodluck finding it!! But at least the store was warm, so i had time to search Amazon and buy the same item, same price hassle free. Thanks Toys r us for the warm store in winter
I was in this morning to pickup an online purchase, and at the same time I purchased some items in store. I was helped by Apyphany and another associate (who I didn’t get their name unfortunately). Both associates were SO helpful with helping me find a special item for my daughter. They really did go above and beyond! I haven’t seen that level of exceptional customer service in a really long time! Thank you for the amazing shopping experience. I will def come back to this location, and hope I have the opportunity to deal with the same excellent associates:)
Really bad experience. Very rude store manager, I don’t think he has kids or he probably hates kids. Not helpful at all. Don’t want to help to solve the problem, only hope store can take money from you. I feel sorry for all the kids… after all it’s a toys store. Have to give one start.. because I can’t give red flag….
Came into the store not knowing much about Pokémon cards and Elle came to the rescue by giving my daughter a tutorial on some of its history. She even humbly kneeled on the floor to be at eye level with my daughter as she patiently explained the merchandise and its contents to her. I wish I had taken a picture of their interaction!!
