Kinda disappointed Flavor is pretty good But unfortunately they skimped out on my meat in the Caribbean special noodles. There was like 1 piece of each meat in there.
Had the beef, chicken and shrimp fried rice with the chicken on top and also had the noodles with the same meats and chicken on top as well was really tasty.
One of the Worst Roti Experiences Ever I ordered the chicken and goat roti from this place and was thoroughly disappointed. The roti skin was raw, doughy, and thick — clearly undercooked. Inside, there was barely any meat, just a bunch of potatoes swimming in watery sauce. It tasted like the meat was microwaved straight from a fridge — soggy and lifeless. I called to share my concerns and was shocked to find out the rude, dismissive person on the phone was one of the owners. No accountability, just complete unprofessionalism. I've had amazing roti from many places before, so I know what it's supposed to be like — and this wasn't even close. Would not recommend to anyone save your money.
This I have to say was horrible, this is the worst roti I have ever eaten. I was not able to finish. The Pepole here who like this food must not have ever eaten Trinidad or Caribbean food, safe to say never going back.
I don’t usually like curry spice but gave it a shot with the curry chicken roti. It was delicious and the portion was enough for leftover lunch tomorrow.
I expected more out of this Caribbean dining spot. In their defense, it was branded or marketed as Caribbean Hakka instead of just purely a Caribbean eatery. My order of the Jerk chicken meal came with plain white rice instead of what I have come to expect out of a Caribbean place, which is long gran, Carribean rice with peas. The jerk chicken was also among the worst I've had. The meat was not tender, and it tasted too salty. I could not make out too much of the spice and seasonings. It felt more of the soy sauce was used than needed, so it ended up overwhelming all the other flavor ingredients.
This restaurant is one of my favorites in the Newmarket area. The boneless goat roti and the chilli chicken dry. Can't go wrong with the egg fried rice either. If you're in Newmarket on davis and looking for a good bite to eat, check them out.
