The staff were extremely rude. I had a shopping bag with me, and I was constantly being watched as if I were doing something wrong. At the checkout, my bag was inspected, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. On another occasion, I attempted to return an item, and a staff member was hesitant to process the return. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told he was not in the store and that I would have to wait half an hour. However, when I went to the checkout and asked again, the manager was actually present, and I was able to return the item. This experience was very disappointing, and I will not be returning to this store.

Update: Even after I followed the instructions and emailed them, they still chose not to respond. What was the point of asking me to email you? I rarely write negative reviews because I truly try to see things through a positive lens. My family and I have been loyal customers at Ambrosia for years, and I want to start by saying that every staff member across all locations has been amazing — always friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. They’ve consistently made shopping there a great experience. That’s why tonight’s experience was so frustrating. I had recently purchased an Omega-3 supplement, and about a week later I noticed residue forming at the bottom of the bottle. When I checked the expiry date, it was there but barely legible. I told the manager the issue, but he didn’t ask any questions or try to understand what I was hoping to do. Instead, while I was literally at the checkout counter spending more money, he immediately jumped to, “I can check the cameras to see if you were there that day.” I’ve literally never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Looking at one of my credit cards, I could see that I had been to that location five times just in October. I could have told him any of those five days, but I didn’t even know and didn’t feel like challenging it. For me, it’s a $30 loss, and I’ll eat it. But for Ambrosia, the loss is a loyal customer. Experiences like this make loyal customers second-guess returning. One thing I know for sure: you can spend tons of money on advertising, but ultimately, word of mouth and how you handle a problem will dictate the long-term success of any establishment.

I've been here 3 times in the last few months and each time I've been there i felt intensely watched. Staff coming in the iles acting like they're fixing stuff on the shelf. I thought maybe it was a race issue but I dont know. I've spent over 100$each time I've been there. Focus on the cameras instead of hawking people who spend hard earned money in there.

Love this store. It’s one of a kind. Almost everything here is organic. We drive all the way to shop here. Wish there was a closer location to Bradford.

First time at Ambrosia and what a great experience. I was looking for elderberry syrup to help get rid of a recently acquired cold. I asked where it was located and a lovely woman brought me right to the area and the syrup was on sale to boot. Not sure if it’s done on purpose but I noticed the lighting was muted creating a very tranquil environment as well. I’ll definitely be back!

It was the worse experience, imagine you are spending lots of money in that expensive store and you want exchange something they ask for receipt and they treat you very disrespectful, I will never go back in that store and I wish it was -199 then I was going to choice that ,,,, I am very upset

I walked in was surprised to see a good selection of natural foods however; I have never felt so watched before! I find this absolutely hilarious. I went down a cosmetics isle and 3! staff members came down the isle watching me…literally. Another one walked past the isle I was in twice (actively watching me). I will stay shopping at Natures emporium. First time going in and I won’t be back. Unreal.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for being a loyal customer over the years. We’re very sorry to hear about your recent visit and how the situation was handled — that’s not the level of care we aim to provide. Please contact our customer service team at [email protected] so we can look into this and make things right.
