Easy Basements is the unicorn contractor. We reached out through Home Stars in April 2025. Easy Basements was one of six contractors to come to our home and quote on our basement. We are a new-ish build with an unfinished basement. The plumbing was roughed in by the builder, by that’s it. From the very start, Ilia at Easy Basements was organized, communicative, punctual and thoughtful. Ilia addressed all concerns, provided some really cool ideas for our space and gave a very detailed quote. This quote was on par with others, but the level of detail gave me a lot of comfort that everything would be covered. We requested that our project start mid-to-late August. Ilia, Serge and Alex started on time and finished early… and exactly on budget. There were no hidden fees or surprise add-ons. Our entryway and hallway to the basement were protected and kept tidy – as was the basement. Each of Ilia, Serge and Alex got to know us and our family. Our dog loved the belly scratches! I felt more than comfortable with them in our home. They’d even apologize for working late!! I was kept informed about the project each step of the way. I am very particular, and Ilia and his team constantly met my level of perfection. I can’t believe we have a whole new living space in such a short amount of time! I will definitely welcome Easy Basements back into my home for future work around the house – I cannot stress how great these guys are. I’m not sure if I could use any other contractor after the wonderful experience we had.
