Been here a few times to repair and purchase new tires to support local businesses in Newmarket. Called to book our winter tire changeover to be told Dec 1 onwards. Groan. Poor planning on what could have been a huge opportunity for them to maximize profits and continue to make customers for life. We found a couple places in Aurora that fit us in with no problem- just a longer wait time on the day of the appointment.. but they are taking us today Wednesday November 12. The point is the other places made the effort and were able to help. Being told to call back or book Dec 1 onwards is such poor customer service. We were also looking to purchase new all season tires for both our vehicles for the spring. I guess we will bring our business elsewhere. They had all summer and fall to prepare for this and ensure every customer is dealt with in a timely manner. Onwards and upwards I wish them luck as a small business that should be thinking big when it comes to maximizing profits during both tire changeover periods. They failed to plan. UPDATE SINCE THE OWNERS REPLY: I explained to them my urgency, did they even try? did they try to make me feel good or try to fit me in? NOPE. My wife's tires are on rims, and she needs her car daily to travel down to Princess Margaret. Did they care? NOPE. Read their rude reply. I was on the phone with them one morning at 8:05am a couple weeks back, begging if they can fit me in and do the quick change over, they said they are rammed..the parking lot had 1 car. You would think they know how to fit in the odd customer who really needs help and I was even willing to pay double their asking price....all both reps can tell me was Dec 1 sir, Dec 1 sir. Book it online sir..like everyone else...blah blah blah. Zero customer service. And based on the review from 3 days ago from the Tesla customer...you can see they have ZERO customer service skills. The owner says it amazes him how people get upset with the first snow fall etc. I said I totally understand but that I really needed their help. Nothing. Thanks for nothing boys. I see in December you have lots and lots of appointment avails now...I wish you well.
Ken and the team were amazing at the least. I had a flat on my way to work. I called them not and without even knowing me, they helped me out by seeing me right away and putting 4 new tires on in about 15 mins. I was shocked at how fast they were. Like, pit crew fast lol. They gave me a great deal on the tires and allowed me to continue to go to work with little time lost. Thank you guys. You made a stressful event go away without a hitch.
NEVER again will I trust newmarket tire n mag. I went to get some hub rings asked them to put them on expecting of course to pay some labour since they have to take my rims off to put them on. Go to pay and find out they charged me FULL tire swap price of $80 plus tax. Talked to a manager not sure if it was or not and told them I was not told anything about cost to put them on and his excuse was I figured you knew. My fault for not asking a price but they should say when you ask to install them it will be x amount to do it instead of getting a shock when I get up there to pay. Of course I want expecting free labour but a full tire swap is a little much
