Super Helpful and Friendly Staff I’m new to snowboarding and recently bought a Burton board online, but I couldn’t figure out why none of the bindings I found would fit. I drove about 30 minutes to this shop just to ask some questions and get advice not even planning to buy anything and they were so kind and helpful. Even though they don’t carry Burton products, all three staff members took the time to explain why my board’s 3-hole mounting system is hard to match with modern bindings, and they clearly broke down what options I have. They even wrote out a short “script” I could use when calling other shops and recommended specific places nearby that might have what I need. What really stood out to me was how they made sure to reassure me that I wasn’t the only one who’s been confused about this they said a lot of newer riders run into the same thing. That made me feel so much better and way less embarrassed about asking questions. I honestly left feeling way more confident and informed. You can tell they genuinely care about helping people, not just making sales. I’ll definitely be coming back here when I’m ready to buy gear.
Noticed I reviewed 11 years ago, a few years after that we started coming here for our kids stuff. We love the shop even more, every year we come in with our two kids and our collection of previous gear. The staff take it from there, they help us sort through what fits and what doesn’t. They work with the kids to find them equipment for them. They have always been very fair with us, making suggestions to help us save money based on need - never just trying to get us to buy new gear for the sake of it. My oldest is now 11, and almost every ski, snowboard, boot, and binding has come from this shop - same for my 9 year old. They know how to find the right size, which was really helpful when the kids were younger. Even at 11 and 9 years old, their assistance makes the process so quick. Come here if you want people who know their products and know how to equip you!
Went to buy laundry soap for my down coat. Lots af stairs. When I went in, I told them what I was looking for and was directed to go up stairs. I looked around when I got up there. No sales person there. I was on my way back downstairs when the salesperson met me and asked if she could help. They did have what I was looking for, and she was very helpful. But way too many stairs for anyone with problems on stairs.
Been going to this shop for the past 8 years and they never fail to impress. Always have the best gear on hand and everyone is super helpful. The owner Chris is a great guy and you can tell he’s very passionate about what he does the second he helps you out. If you you’re looking to get geared up for the upcoming season, definitely check this place out!
Bought all my ski equipment and clothing from Senecal and Up Top Ski shop for years. Tried to get my skis tuned before my trip to France tomorrow evening and they refused to tune them. I enjoy supporting local businesses. I suppose everybody gets busy even if you’re a good customer. Off to SportChek. The technician said that he could work on them right away. He asked me what the weather conditions are going to be like in France. I showed him the weather forecast and he said he would upgrade the wax to meet the weather conditions. Great service. He said he will have them done this afternoon. Now they have a loyal customer.
What a great local ski shop! I came in to get my old skis fitted with my new boots. Turns out my skis were WAY too old. Ian helped me find a new pair of skis, bindings, and gave me a good price. Super knowledgeable, happy to give them my business.
I have been skiing/boarding for over 50 years, I am a Level II CSIA Instructor and Development Level Trained Coach with ACA. I've been getting my equipment here for 30 years. The knowledge of the wide range of products they carry and skill to find you what you specifically need is amazing. I have witnessed their integrity on multiple occasions working with customers to get them the gear they needed, and not the more expensive items they wanted to buy. I go out of my way to buy all of my ski/board needs at Senecal and suggest the same for the people I teach and have coached.
