First time and last. We asked for a vodka pasta and it tasted like Mac and cheese and the regatoni only tasted like tomato paste. Then for desserts we asked for pizza dough with Nutella which was good and a teramisu that seemed to be old and cut in a very oddly manner as if it was already eaten ( i did took and bite that tasted like burned coffee)
The restaurant is nice people friendly. Menu very limited It was so cold in there also with the door opening and closing. Clean place. Food was ok.good size portion. Nice looking decor
Food is always great and the hostesses are friendly and quick to attend. Been here multiple times and will be back again. Calamari should be an app not a main though :)
Beautiful looking place but the menu is very limited. The pastas have minimal ingredients for flavor and all are combinations of the same ingredients. Only one has meat at 22.00 a plate. The pizzas are the way to go. They have the ability to alter and add options at no additional cost. The wine servings are small at 4oz for 9.00. Usually the servings are 5 or 8oz for 9-13 at most restaurants of similar caliber. The service was amazing and the server was informative and very helpful. 10/10! The atmosphere is bright and clean. Lovely setting.
I have gone to this restaurant several times prior to tonight, which were great, and it was bad enough tonight that I will not return. I ordered a caesar salad - the lettuce had brown and red colouring on it (old), the croutons were not as described (looked like they were from a cheap salad kit), and the worst bit - the dressing was a heavy mayonnaise rather than caesar. I politely told the waitress that I was not happy with the salad and that it was a warning to her about what came out of the kitchen and what may be served to others. My dining partner had the Patata pizza - mozzarella, caramelized onions, potatoes and prosciutto. My guest was grossly disappointed at the quality of the pizza, not even remotely close to caramelized anything. It was just some onions, prosciutto and potato on a weak crust. The server mentioned that the salad had been removed from the bill because upon further looking at it, it looked bad! The salad left the pass that way... the chef or sous chef put it together seeing the brown bits on the leaves, the sad croutons and a dressing that was far from caesar. Sadly this restaurant will be crossed off the list of places to go to. Very disappointing.
After reviewing the menu on their website, called the Newmarket location based on the phone number listed on their website, placed an order for pick up for an hour later. Went to pick it up - turns out the phone number listed for Newmarket is not accurate but for their Nobleton location - they admitted they discovered this mistake recently but have yet to rectify. The best Newmarket location could do was have us wait another hour for a new order of food because they were busy and had to serve the seated customers... Not even apologetic about their mistake, nor offering any understanding or compassion..in fact the server couldn't even contain his aggravated and rude facial expressions. After a long week, sick kids at home, to say we're disappointed with their lack of service is an understatement. Once a family goto, no more.
What a hidden gem in our town of Newmarket! Chef Marco and his team have nailed it when it comes to fresh, authentic and delicious Italian food! You can tell that Chef Marco has a passion and love for cooking and delivering amazing mouth-watering delicious food! We have gone to this place 5 times and have NEVER been disappointed. His staff are attentive and ensure a comfortable customer experience at every interaction! We have had the pleasure of having Erin be our server for 4 of our 5 visits and she is fantastic! We would HIGHLY recommend Vivo Newmarket to all our family and friends. If you’re looking for a casual, fun and relaxed atmosphere, you definitely need to check this place out!
