Had an awesome experience at Lids Newmarket! Sarosh was amazing honestly the most helpful person I’ve ever met at a Lids store. He knew my fitted hat size just by looking at my big head and his energy and customer service were top-notch. Best Lids store I’ve ever visited. I’ll definitely be back!
Working in retail myself, my husband and I were quite impressed at the customer service at this location. We visited on Tuesday April 22 and had incredible help from the employee working the closing shift. He helped my husband match a new hat to his new shoes. Showed him some options, even though my husband is dead set on snap backs and sold him on a NY hat, that wasn’t a snap back. The beak of the hat was a bit dusty and he cleaned it all up for us before leaving. Even though the store was closing in 10 minutes, he didn’t rush us out, but helped instead. We drove down from Barrie and will come back to this location just because of the customer service. Sorry we didn’t get this name but hoping you can give him the recognition based on the info that I gave!
This is a good Lids location and it has a multitude of choices in Team representative Ball caps and certain sports memorabilia. The key is to have knowledgeable sales agents who know the product lines and locations so they can get you to a product you may want without you struggling to find it yourself. And they also immediately know what is on sale and what is not. Our sales agent Max did all this really well and found us what we wanted and even suggested other places to go for the things they did not carry. We will be back/!
This is one of the worst Lids I've ever had the pleasure of visiting store is always messy, employees don't even greet you to busy doing nothing oh and the one thing I love is that the store constantly seems to always be closed on random days when I can clearly see the employees inside and walking around. As someone who has worked at this mall for over 10 years this is the worst it's ever been run. I will not be spending my money here and would rather order online and shipped to my house. This location is awful and the customer service is absolutely atrocious.
Sign said away for 15 mins. But others were already there saying it had been closed for half an hour. We checked back after 30 mins still closed. So at least a total of an hour just closed.
Worst customer service. Went in with my boyfriend ,the three employees were chatting and had their backs turned, didn’t even acknowledge anyone coming into the store. Went right to the cashier and then said had to say “hello” after 5 mins of not being acknowledged and them having their own conversation. the one employee had the audacity to say he was on break while leaning on the cash register and didn’t want to help at all. If an employee is on break DONT be on the floor. the three children working didn’t know anything about customer service. Clearly a new team needs to be hired or the kids need to be retrained on what real customer service is. All we wanted to know was if a jersey had a name on it and the three kids couldn’t even do that
Went Lids in Upper Canada mall on September 22 with my daughter to buy a cap. Once my daughter found a cap that she liked to went to the cash register to pay. The cashier told us the actual price for the cap is higher than the sticker price and that they didn’t get a chance to change the price. I said well that is not right because the tag said one price and yet you are telling me another price which is quite higher. The cashier said she was the manager and the assistant manager (not sure how that is) and could not change the price. She said she was told to charge the higher price. She did not have good customer service either. She neither greeted us nor apologized. The store lost a sale. We walked out of the store never to return. This store discerned zero stars.
