Our first and definitely our last visit to the store. The lady at the counter (who could have also been the owner) was as cold as the sausage rolls and pies we bought. Apparently they couldn’t warm up any food items because of some new law. However, she could have been nicer about it. Also, we bought four items, and she put three in one bag, and thinking she would stuff the fourth item in the same bag, we requested that she used another white paper bag. Quite disappointing.

Have to say been here a few times to pick up some goodies from the UK, felt a little awkward as the owner seemed to be watching me as I videoed the store for content, anyhow, reasonable selection but a word to the wise, it's not cheap (to be expected) and check expiry dates, we picked up two bags of mixed crisps and both were out of date (Sept 2025)

I had high hopes for this shop as I’m a big fan of British products and was excited to support a speciality store in Newmarket. While the selection was nice and I did make a purchase, I left feeling a bit disappointed by the overall costumer experience. The staff didn’t greet me in a way of Canadian costumer experience of making costumers feel welcome, which stood out because in most Canadian-owned or multicultural stores where staff are welcoming or approachable, here it felt like serving me was more of a chore than anything else. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to even ask questions about the products because the woman assisting me seemed so uninterested - almost like I was bothering her. That’s not the kind of energy you expect as a paying costumer. The store has potential but the costumer interaction is everything. A little warmth and friendliness would go a long way toward making people comfortable enough to return.

This store was amazing ten years ago. The stock selection seems to have lessened and the staff are not friendly anymore. I understand the increase in prices and believe they were probably overdue, however it was people that made it so great. Sad to see a local favorite make such a bad turn.

Brilliant quality products and even better customer service. I made a phone call on the Thursday asking for scotch pies, sausage rolls, bridies, square sausage, sausage links, potato scones and black pudding. In less than 5 minutes they guaranteed my order and I was able to pick up on the Saturday morning. I also picked up haggis and of course mushy peas. More than enough to feed 10 of us with plenty leftover! (That was by design though so I can eat the rest myself during the week) Everything was top notch quality and there isn't another little bakery like this that I'd rather purchase from. 5 stars from me and then some!

Such a wonderful quaint store filled with numerous goodies from across the pond such as snacks of all sorts like sticky toffee pudding, marks and Spencer’s shortbread cookies, all types of jams, marmalades from various brand such as Wilkin & Sons, British savoury snack such as Walkers and Twiglets, fresh items like numerous home made pastries and meat pies galore, numerous chocolate favorites such as a slew of Cadbury family of item like dairy milk fingers, Terrys Orange chocolate and much much more, plenty of beverages such as Costa Coffee, Barr, Ben Shaws, Tizer and more. Service is great and of course British with a genuine accent to delight.

Get your little Britain on... Nice tuck shop with lots of sweeties and chocolates... They even have pork pies, cheese and onion potato crisps... Wash it all down with some ribena or ironbru. I say old chap would you care for some roses lime cordial with your lager?
