Stop moral kidnapping using "Support local" or "Support Canada" while tried to sell us the green sour taste berries and nonflavor peach with overprice. I support you farm producers, who supports us? Sick of such marketing scam!!!

Over priced I thought buying from a local farmer would be cheaper than grocery store Peaches $17 I don’t want to buy the whole tree… Totally disappointed

Overrated and overcrowded. Given the hordes of people who squeeze into the little piece of real estate beside the splash pad on Saturdays, you’d think it was the first farmers market to ever exist. Come for the overpriced muffins and produce, stay for the half-dead plants. The one redeeming quality is the outdoor pizza oven serving reasonably priced pies. Go to Aurora for a better experience and more reasonably priced options.

Such a fun and vibrant place! The Newmarket Farmers’ Market is full of life, friendly people, and an amazing variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Everything looked so fresh and colorful—it was a joy just walking around! You can really feel the community spirit. I’ll definitely be going back for more local goodies and good vibes!

On our bike ride today we checked in to Mulberry’s Oven at the Newmarket farmers market. The pizza was delicious. This is not our first time having pizza while on a bicycle ride to Newmarket from Aurora. One of the reasons we keep going back aside from the delicious thin crust. Pizza is their kindness to us when we didn’t have enough money on a previous trip for a cold drink. They gave it to us complementary. I will continue to return based on that fact, alone. Today we met the owner, Tim McClure.

The market is a great place to spend a Saturday morning! It would be a lot better without the racist man at the Willowtree Farm booth. We bought corn from them, and right after we paid, this man proceeded to mockingly speak Japanese to my mother and I (we are Chinese). Has he never seen or spoken to an Asian person in his life? Dampened the mood for the whole market.

The farmers market itself is really nice. Great atmosphere, lots of vendors. Some vendors got really good products and value. I rate this 3 stars because one of the vendors, Farm Girl Kitchen was selling these beef burger patties for $16 for 8. I thought not bad if it’s locally sourced and prepared on their own. Came home, saw the bottom of the package, they bought it off Windcrest Meatpackers at Port Perry for $2.07 a pack! What a rip off! And didn’t even bother taking the sticker off. I feel a bit cheated and disappointed. They told me there are no fillers no seasoning etc…I don’t trust them.

Hi Michelle. We will speak with Willowtree Farm about this. All vendors must follow a code of conduct and obey our rules and regulations.

Hi Tina. Do not worry, you were not ripped off. All meat sold at the market must be cut and wrapped at a Provincially inspected facility. Windcrest is the butcher where the animal was processed ( cut and wrapped ). The beef was raised by Farm Girls Kitchen ( D+W Cooper Farm ). The $2.07 on the package is the weight in lbs. The package is 2.07 lbs. $8 per pound.
