Top star is amazing! the instructors are very patient, professional and really know how to teach. I feel much more comfortable when driving and learner things I needed to know including parallel parking, adjusting mirrors and the seat, reverse parking without the camera, front in parking and how to properly do a left turn without the advance light and changing lanes following the MSB method. overall I had a very good experience and believe this school leaves me and my family very content and happy with the results we've gotten. I'd recommend going here for your driving school needs!
Top star driving school definitely deserved a 5 star review! I had an instructor named Ejaz, he was super kind, respectful and helped me ensure I can do well on my g2 test. He showed me the routes we would use so I can practice properly for my test and I ended up doing the 4 day course so I can do my g2 test a bit earlier, during the in class sessions I learnt a lot about things I can use for the wintertime and some other things which enhanced my knowledge. I feel super confident! I’m so happy I passed my g2 test on my first try and I do seriously owe it all to this school for actually teaching me! Super duper happy with my instructor and the prices.
Paul is an excellent instructor. He is patient, smart and kind. On top of that, he has plenty of experience specifically helping new drivers in Canada pass the tests. His method is smooth and effective, working with him is nearly a guarantee of approval of the test. For him it's a 5/5 without a doubt. The school, on the other hand, has terrible (if any at all) customer service. The manager helped me after all, but I did wait nearly a month for an answer.
I needed a driving school that would work with people who use hand controls to operate the brake and accelerator. Many said "No!", but Top Star said "Certainly!". My instructor, Paul, was great, and made sure I was well prepared for my G2 test, which I passed on my first try. Even my DriveTest tester commented on how well prepared I was. I highly recommend Top Star!!
I had a good experience with Ejaz! He was a very well rounded and knowledgeable with everything he taught me for my G test. I’ve gotten more comfortable on the road with the help of this driving school and I had gotten a few lessons done for my G2 test as well! I’m glad to say I passed both tests
School - 3/5 Instructor - 5/5 Overall, Top Star as a school has some logistics problems with being efficient and timely, but not a regrettable choice for driving school. Siavesh is a wonderful instructor and you will generally master the basics of driving and road safety under him. I passed my G2 road test on my first attempt with minimal comments from the examiner. The process to start the first online portion of the G1 course was okay. I believe I had to call the driving school to get information to start, but otherwise I was enrolled in the online portion without much trouble. However, after I completed my online portion, it took about 1.5-2 months to start in-car lessons due to a combination of poor logistics on Top Star's part and my initial instructor failing to reply. I had to call the driving school twice before I was switched to my eventual instructor, Siavesh. After I sorted out my instructor, I had no further problems and no further paperwork to do. Their customer service isn't bad, but I had to call a second time to receive my second instructor's information. As for the in-car lessons, my instructor Siavesh is a very polite and efficient teacher. He is very to the point and you will learn very quickly given that you listen and follow his instructions. He teaches for both the G2 driving test and for daily driving. He does his best to align with your schedule, but it is very possible to go a few weeks without a lesson so try to be flexible if the circumstances allow you. He will also teach you to have good driving habits and will scold you as necessary, but he will build your confidence up so do not be discouraged, especially if you aren't doing well the first few lessons.
Instructors constantly cancelling, then takes weeks to reschedule. Spend more time trying to schedule lessons than taking them. Some of the instructors spend the lesson on their phone.
