Unwind is literally one of my favourite places in Newmarket. Everyone is so friendly, patient, and kind. Whenever I’ve come in with a knitting problem someone has taken the time to help me out or connect me with someone who can. Plus, there’s so many beautiful yarns and knits, etc. to ogle and buy.
I came today and I loved this store, it’s so spacious but inviting, the lady who helped me was so nice and she helped me find the perfect item before I knew I even needed it. I will definitely be coming here regularly!

Proprietress Michele Brunet is an accomplished fiber artists in her own right, and leads classes to learn and hone skills. A cosy knitting and chatting area is inviting, and encourages friendly exchange of ideas as well as encouragement for projects on the go or about to be started. A do not miss location at the corner of Timothy Street and Main Street, downtown Newmarket.
The owner, Michele, is very sweet and always accommodating. She can answer any question you have, help you when you're stuck, and even suggest new projects to try! And the yarn - oooohhhh mmmyyyyy.
I bought my mom a class from this place for her birthday gift. I took her to register for the course, and there was a dumb blonde at the front desk who was totally clueless about the courses and dates. She had no idea about the business, and kept calling the owner with questions, that's has horrible customer service in my opinion. The lady thought my mom was my wife, was she blind and dumb? She was actually preventing my mom from taking the class, what a weirdo!! she thought she was incapable to take the class!! my moms been knitting for over 10 years. The lady at the front did not want us to take the class, and was doubting us from taking the class. I think she was discriminating or was stereotyping. What rubbish!
