I had a very disappointing experience with Gown Go Round. Be very careful consigning your gown here. Before my original contract ended, the store suggested I renew my consignment for another six months. However, they never asked me to sign a new written agreement—only sent a screenshot showing a new “deadline” for my dress, with no updated terms. I followed up regularly for months. Later, the store claimed my contract “expired,” even though no signed renewal existed. I was then told my gown was donated or missing. I was never contacted about a sale, payment, or pickup. Despite reaching out multiple times for clarification or compensation, I received no response. Please be cautious if you plan to consign with this business—make sure you get everything in writing. The lack of transparency, communication, and accountability was extremely upsetting. I would not trust this store with anything valuable.

I had a great experience when visiting Gown Go Round. They have both new/used and store-owned/consignment dresses, so there are many style and price point options. This is a great bonus for anyone who isn’t sure what they like and would like to try on a few things. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy - some customers coming in/out to browse dresses and some coming for alterations. There is no appointment needed as there is no salesperson who is dedicated to you the entire time. We were allowed to take as much time as we wanted and try on as many dresses as we liked. Great for anyone who may be worried about pressure for bridal commission sales. I was greeted warmly by Kat who took the time to show me a few options she thought I would like based on some photos I showed her. She was happy with us to browse through the dresses ourselves and pull dresses into the change room to try on (we insisted to do this ourselves). She came by often while I tried on dresses to discuss possible alteration options and what alterations may be too costly for my budget. She was very open in telling me what worked or did not work well on my body. At the end of the day, I walked out of the store with a brand new, beautiful and affordable Stella York gown that I would not have been able to afford at another bridal shop. Thank you, Kat, for your patience and attentiveness to me. I really appreciate it as it made a world of a difference in the overwhelming experience of bridal shopping!
My daughter and I went to Gowns Go Round recently and had a really good experience. My daughter was looking for a bridesmaid dress in a particular colour and we came away with the perfect dress. There was only one dress in her size, but several more dresses in larger sizes. Katerina was very helpful and pulled out several dresses for my daughter to try on and explained how the larger dresses could be tailored to fit. We had planned to go to several shops, but there was no need to! My daughter found the perfect dress at a great price. I hadn't intended to buy for myself, but I found a mother-of-the bride dress that was perfect for me. I would recommend Gowns Go Round. Katerina was very helpful and both the selection and the prices were great.
Fantastic service, and great selection! Came in and came out within the span of 30 minutes. My sister is in love with her dress, price was almost too good to be true! Highly recommend!!
My daughter is very excited about her upcoming grade 8 graduation, so the looking for “the dress” started early. We tried a couple of stores closer to us without a whole lot of luck and then I remembered Gown Go Round. I had heard of this store and the reviews checked out so today we headed up. The owner is friendly—she welcomed us as soon as we entered—and the store is clean and well organized too. We quickly had 4 dresses to try and the third dress was definitely just made for her. The owner again gave great support and feedback without being pushy, and knew what she was talking about. The price was perfect too! Now that we have our first dress from Gown Go Round, I am certain we’ll be back! Thank you for making her feel so confident and comfortable: she left with a huge smile.
Gown Go Round saved my wedding dress! I had alterations on my dress done at a different store. Long story short, the alterations were VERY bad! 13 days before my wedding I called Gown Go Round in panic mode because my dress was not wearable. She told me to package it up and bring it to her that day. Wow - just WOW. I left there feeling a million times better. In the middle of moving her store and having a lot of other things going on... she fixed my dress in 12 DAYS and had me come to her home to pick it up to ensure I had my dress in time to leave town for our wedding. I can never thank her enough for what she did for me. She saved the day. My dress looked amazing on our wedding day thanks to you. Always call Gown Go Round for your alterations if you are in the Newmarket/Bradford/Alliston/Barrie area... You will not be disappointed! She goes above and beyond for her brides.
