I have been coming to this salon for some time, but yesterday may be my last visit. My hair stylist Tracy is great, and the receptionist Rosie is awesome. But...while my hair colour was "cooking" there was a woman with a client in the next chair, talking non stop. I don't know whether she was a stylist or the owner, but a lot of the conversation had to do with some of her stuff missing and how she was wondering out loud about whether other staff had taken her things when she wasn't there. She proceeded to carry on this thread of the discussion with the receptionist. This was not a quiet discussion...it was loud and abrasive and it went on for a long time. I just wanted to get out of there. Clearly not the relaxing visit that I'm used to. And why would a conversation like this be happening where clients could very clearly hear I think whatever the issue was could have been handled in a room at the back of the salon so that clients weren't involved. The whole thing really was sad. I sincerely hope that this woman gets her issue resolved and that if someone is stealing, that the situation be rectified. I just didn't need to hear all about it during my appointment and from what I understand, I wasn't the only person who was upset by this.
I can't recommend Shawna enough! She is truly the best! She always does my roots, color, cut and style perfectly every time, and she even matched my hair extensions to perfection. I always leave taboo feeling amazing. If you are looking for someone who really knows what they're doing and makes you feel taking care of, you need to go see her !
Family went there for a while but the automative scheduling system has been changing the times, then when you arrive you get accused of wasting their time and falsifying the information that was given. Tracey has been aggressive and extremely rude with her interactions, purely blaming you for her mess up. Has burnt my mom's scalp on multiple occasions. We are no longer going there.
I got my hair done by gabriella and she did amazing!! I did a dark cherry color ans it was exactly how I wanted and the photo i showed her was the exact result i got!! Shes amazing will definitely recommend
Had a Bob haircut with Stefanie, the owner, and I am very satisfied with the result. She is an absolute professional who understood what style I was looking for as soon as I explained and showed some pictures. She has a friendly and cute characteristic as well.
My husband and I have been clients of Taboo Salon in Newmarket for many years, and have always been more than satisfied with the service we receive. Our whole extended family also are clients of Taboo and we are always are greeted with a warm welcome and receive excellent service. I wish you much success with the new Sharon location!
Great place did exactly what I wanted. Good pricing will definitely recommend and be going back. I was in there at 3:30 PM ish today and had the pleasure to have the young dirty blonde lady do my hair she will be my new stylist ??
